Classic Kitchen Remodel

From Dated & Closed-Off to Bright, Tailored & Timeless

This kitchen transformation is one of our favorite examples of how thoughtful design can completely reframe a space—without changing the footprint.

The Before

The original kitchen had solid bones but felt visually heavy and outdated.
Pink laminate countertops, low upper cabinets, bulky hardware, and traditional tile backsplash dated the space. The peninsula created separation, and the cabinetry stopped short of the ceiling, leaving awkward gaps and lost storage.

Natural light was there—but it wasn’t being maximized.

The homeowners wanted a kitchen that felt:
• Brighter
• More functional
• More elevated
• And cohesive with the rest of their home

The Design Vision

Our goal was to create a timeless, light-filled kitchen with clean lines, warm accents, and layered texture—without overcomplicating the space.

We focused on three key design shifts:

  1. Vertical Expansion

  2. Warm + White Contrast

  3. Refined, Tailored Details

What We Changed

Full-Height Cabinetry

We extended cabinetry to the ceiling to eliminate dead space and visually lift the room. The result feels taller, more custom, and architecturally intentional.

SwiftCoat Cabinets - Soft White Shaker Cabinets

Crisp shaker doors in a soft white tone brighten the entire space while keeping it classic and enduring.

Top Knobs Warm Brushed Brass Hardware

The geometric brass knobs and pulls add warmth and personality without overpowering the clean palette. Small detail. Big impact.

Trevi Bianca - Quartz Countertops

We replaced laminate with durable quartz for a seamless, polished surface that reflects light beautifully and holds up to everyday life.

Jeffery Court Glossy Subway Tile Backsplash

The neutral-toned, slightly textured subway tile adds dimension while maintaining a calm, cohesive backdrop.

Statement Faucet

The warm brushed brass pull-down faucet becomes a focal point at the corner sink, tying the hardware and cabinetry together.

Updated Lighting

A simple pendant over the sink adds softness and intentional layering—functional and decorative.

Lions Flooring Upgrade

New wood flooring grounds the space and brings warmth that balances the bright cabinetry.

The Result

What was once dated and compartmentalized is now light, open, and refined.

This kitchen feels:
• Airy but grounded
• Bright but warm
• Modern but timeless

It’s proof that great remodeling isn’t about trends — it’s about proportion, balance, and thoughtful details.
